The Pretty Things Peepshow, a vintage style traveling burlesque sideshow. This Amazing cast is made up of finest talent in show business today. World famous burlesque dancers pin up queens and suicide girls Bettina May and go-go Amy and their Dame of Danger sexy tattooed sideshow siren extraordinaire Insectavora make up the core group of the show. Performers who also work with The Pretty Things include sword swallowing sensation Miss Heather Holliday, New Orleans tease queen Trixie Minx, “The Bob Barker of Boobies” host and comedian Vincent Drambuie, yo-yo Champion Augie Fash and many more.

These performers have performed both together and separately all over the world. It is said that their tassels have more miles on them then a 57 Chevy! Pin Up Class Press Release

Learn to release your inner bombshell in Pretty Things Productions HOW TO BE A PIN UP GIRL CLASS. In class you will learn how to do vintage hair and make up, get posing and modeling tricks and much more. Then you’ll get all dolled up and do your very own pin up photo shoot. You’ll leave class that day with a book detailing everything you’ve learned and a CD of the unedited images you took in class, which you will own the rights to. The class is taught by world famous pin up models Bettina May and go-go Amy.

The Pretty Things HOW TO BE A PIN UP GIRL CLASS is a body positive experience. In class we teach you that true glamour has no size, height or age restriction. All you need is a positive attitude and a set of curlers.

BIO:
I’m a burlesque queen, pin-up and fetish model, and actor who lives and breathes glamour every moment of the day. My character has been compared to a cross between Louise Brookes’ playful demon with an innocent side, and Jane Russell’s character in “Gentlemen Prefer Blondes”, pure sass and sarcasm. This makes for a very mischievous, playful little dynamo of energy. I am also classically trained in ballet and jazz, as well as having experience in theater.
I perform at Jezebel Burlesque (the latest, hottest club in Toronto), guest star with troupes around the world, and teach workshops. I have been blessed to grace the stage with such legendary performers as Jo “Boobs” Weldon, Coco Framboise and Roxi Delite. I have performed for Belinda Stronach, Fritz Helder and the Phantoms, Jeannie Becker, Galen Weston, Steven and Chris of the Steven and Chris Show, Michael King, Avril Lavigne, the Toronto Maple Leaf players, and many more. I am also in the process of opening my own school of burlesque in Toronto this summer with Emmanuelle La Gitane, at Mad for Dance Studio, to share my knowledge with other up and coming performers and just those who want to do it for fun!

The daughter of an Irish showgirl and an eccentric Viennese aristocrat, her shows reflect her unusual background, with clouds of butterflies that really fly out from her clothes as she hovers en Pointe. True to the original spirit of Burlesque and Vaudeville, her beautifully choreographed routines take in everything from the ethereal, the breath-taking and the beautiful to the macabre and the comic: with influences including everyone from Anita Berber and Loie Fuller to Rita Hayworth, David Lynch and Maya Deren, taking in everything from the Pre-Raphaelites and French literature to Surrealism and more along the way.

She is a Carnival Queen with a show-stopping 17” corseted waist, a doll, a butterfly, a peacock, a swan, a silver-screen siren, a living Klimt painting, a sorcerer – and anything her imagination can create! Fusing old-school glamour with even older-school strangeness as well as an up-to-date sense of humour and fun, her performances utilise elements of her varied performance background, including ballet, tap, circus, acting and even opera.

In demand all over the world and having amassed an enviable list of past clients (including Roberto Cavalli and the Paris Ritz) and sparkling reviews (including features in French Playboy), you can also see her making her mark on the big screen from Hollywood to Bollywood and in a brace of music videos for top bands.

As well as having all the style of Hollywood’s Golden Age or a Victorian ingénue she is also clever with a mischievous sense of humour. As such, she is currently collaborating on a book – on Carnys, no less.

Not only is Vicky a classic beauty with a true vintage look and an all natural 34-22-34 figure, but her skills as a trained costumier (honed during a degree at Central Saint Martins) ensure a range of spectacular and unique costumes and corsetry. As an avid collector, her wardrobe is a museum of eclecticism and contains almost 1000 pieces of original vintage.

She is a MODEL for Mint Siren lingerie (who have named a set of tassels after her), Vivien of Holloway, the face and body of both Tonia Bastyan and Deadly Nightshade, was the cover girl for the 2008 ‘What Katie Did’ retro lingerie calender and can also be seen in the 2009 calender for the Ministry of Burlesque.

She is also still a practicing ARTIST, with an exhibition of her work due later this year.

Bio:
I was born in a small Louisiana parish, Im a genuine thru and thru southern belle. Since I was little she has been amazed by the mysterious blues lounge singers of new Orleans. I have also always been fascinated with the glamorous vintage Hollywood and retro pin up style of the 40s. This explains why I am able to capture that classic essence so comfortably. I am a mix of the two worlds. I was inspired by the bravery and elegance of Bettie Page, Marilyn Monroe, and Audrey Hepburn to name a few. I began collecting vintage clothes from the 1920s through the 1950s and learned about the details of dressing vintage from head to toe. I found out that not only were women dressed perfectly, but the underlying fashion was so much more interesting than today! In fact, it led to my first shoot. I decided to take some classic pin up shots in 40s lingerie as a present for her loves birthday. Soon after, by chance an important lady saw those pictures and I was asked to test shoot for playboy, this was the start of my modeling career. I now specialize in Pin up and high fashion modeling. I love what I do. I feel blessed to be able to do something im so passionate about. My love for the vintage style also led me to be a Hairstylist, I am now a celebrity stylist specializing in pin up and Hollywood glamour styles. I been blessed to have been able to work with some of the best models, celebrities, photographers, make up artist, hairstylists, wardrobe stylists, magazines ,and burlesque dancers in the world. I am currently located in Las Vegas, Nevada. I am available for shoots and willing to travel anywhere with expenses paid.
